Regardless of how things go for the good men in the subsequent two Avengers films, it's starting to seem like the Marvel Cinematic Universe won't have Steve Rogers to kick around for much longer. Chris Evans has seemingly confirmed he would hang Captain America's shield after the as-yet-untitled fourth Avengersattribute, as a result in 2019.

An actor colleague claims that Evans will leave the Marvel franchise following proposed reshoots for the fourth Avengers film later this year, quoting him as saying, "You want to get off the train before they push you off." (Evans has played with Captain America because of 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger.)

It is not the first time the notion of Evans Growing as Captain America has been increased. Initial interviews from the set of following month's Avengers: Infinity War showcased much discussion about the chance of lots of the original Avengers cast retiring, talking about the movie's promotion being among the final times they'll spend together. But this does appear to be the initial confirmation from Evans he's planning his death from the franchise.

In comic book lore, Steve Rogers is but one of a variety of Captains America, and two of the comic book replacements have been already present in the MCU: Bucky Barnes, also known as that the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson, and the Falcon.

Fans have long suspected that Rogers could die as part of Infinity War or its follow-up, leading to some other character taking up the shield -- has Evans just confirmed this?

Evans has made Captain America among the studio's most beloved characters. He originally had a six-picture deal but extended it to add the fourth Avengers film. In addition to 3 Captain America movies and four Avengers movies, he has shot little cameos at 2013's Thor: The Dark Planet and last year's Spider-Man: Homecoming (and of course a post-credits tease in 2015's Ant-Man that wound in Captain America: Civil War). In other words, he has popped up in a Marvel film annually because of 2011.

Avengers: Infinity War is be out on April 27.
